Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem district People’s Committee is coordinating with relevant agencies to research, collect and reinstate 14 traditional festivals in the ancient quarter. Ten festivals will be organized by the district People’s Committee. The rest will be held by precincts.

 In the middle of December, Hoan Kiem district People’s Committee will organize a festival from Ngoc Son temple to Hang Dao street and Dong Xuan market.

The festival will aim to remember patriotic tradition and honour the glorious victory of people and soldiers of the capital regiment during the struggle in December 1946.

During the festival, incense will be offered to Tran Hung Dao at Ngoc Son temple and fallen soldiers at a statue at Dong Xuan market; and a procession from Ngoc Son temple through Hang Dao street to Dong Xuan market will be made.
