Bung Thi Hot Spring: new attraction of Binh Thuan

Located in Ta Cu Nature Reserve, about 35 kilometers from the central coast city of Phan Thiet, Bung Thi Hot Spring is not exactly famous but makes a strong impression on those who see it.

It took us over three hours to pass through the primitive forest before Bung Thi Hot Spring appeared to our surprise and exhilaration and defeated all of our worries and exhaustion from the long journey.

It is said that Bung Thi Hot Spring has been discovered for a long time. In 1979, a team of geologists drilled two holes 10 centimeters apart and, strangely, one hole yielded water at 76 degrees Celsius and the other hole yielded cold water. However, the cold water hole has vanished.

We put some eggs under the hot water and they were boiled in 15 minutes. After enjoying the eggs, we continued the excursion, strolling in Bung Thi Forest to discover some of its diverse wildlife.

Binh Thuan Province will develop the site into an attractive tourist destination promising amazing excursions. Once visiting the site, tourists should take a cable car to see Ca Tu Mountain where the country’s largest Buddha statue is displayed.
